It would appear there is only one? original factory brochure that features just the 365 GTC/4 and that is 55/71? Was there ever another factory brochure that featured just the 365 GTC/4?
Here's the moonshot..........anybody have one they are willing to sell, or know where I might find one?
Thanks, Wil

Will, http://www.mclellansautomotive.com/photos/B7171.jpg. If you buy it, perhaps you'd make a colour copy of it for me? Thanks

Hello Wil,
As far as I know, there is only one factory brochure, but there are two printings of it - 50/71 and 55/71. They are identical apart from the number, and are a packet with the colour photo (as seen on the Home page) glued to the inside, and with ten loose black and white photos. Five of the photos are from Pininfarina of a white car, and the other five are from Ferrari, and are of the interior, engine, suspension etc..
There are also various dealer brochures, usually combined with pictures of the Dino and Daytona, which were on sale at the same time.
$325 is on the high side but not outrageous, and they never get cheaper..........
Regards,
Neil.

Will, I have both. One of mine has a black/white negative, say 2x2 inch film of the PF photo of the car on the carousel. Does everyone have that, or is that unique? I assume this is a press kit piece????

shross, thanks muchly for the tip about McClellans ! I used to buy stuff from them a long time ago and forgot about them. I went ahead and bought item# B7171. It'll make a heck of a selfish Christmas present. When I get it, I'll make a colour copy of it on my inkjet printer, it does pretty well. PM me your mailing address.

Neil, thanks for the run-down. I paid $250.00 for the one from McClellans (55/71), so that's a bit better. I will never make the same mistake again, they will bury me in my C/4, so stuff like this provides long term enjoyment.

Rick, I'll let you know when I get it if mine has the same negative in it. Sounds pretty cool if it's unique. Which one has the negative?

Will, the negative is in the white one from PF that has the loose cards inside. i think it opens from the top, and all sides fold open.

Rick,
Sorry, I somehow missed this communication until now. I just learned the habit of checking the Forum Home Page for the latest communications in all the different sub-Forums.
Both of the brochures open as you describe and have 10 loose b&w pictures in them. In the lower right corner of the back page of the brochure is the Ferrari print number, either 55/71 or 50/71. Mine don't have the negative. Which print number is it for the one with the negative?
Thanks, Wil

I've got the 50/71 it's a multiple un-fold with 10 black and white promo pictures on high gloss paper and one color photo pasted inside the top flap. I bought it back in 2001 on ebay for $76.00
I wanted it for my collection as my C4 is white
CAVALLINO magazine #31 article on 365GTC/4 shows a list of factory-issued literature:

All the literature is discussed in the Literature page on this site.
Also, pictures of the 55/71 Sales Brochure are in the gallery.
I must say that my copy does not have any negatives. I suspect that must have been unique to a press version.

Guys, I am sorry I have not looked for that negative.... but I do have it, and I'll make an attempt to find it over the weekend. I'll have a print made and post it.... I'll offer copies if/when at cost. And unrelated .....but to the poll Jeff started on car color- the B/W negative looks as if Ferrari/ PF demonstrated the car in white. It'd be interesting to know what color the car was at the Geneva Motor Show in '71. -RHK
POSTSCRIPT: after closing this post the first time, I see the image found in my negative- it's the image of the white car called "5571photos2.jpg" which is found on the top right of the page "Details" on this site. Thoughts?
