Rutlands are honored to present this beautiful 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Vin #14977. Originally ordered new through Fong's Inc. (the Atlanta dealer for Chinetti) by a prominent Georgia collector who also happened to be a founding partner in T. Rutlands! In 1998 the car was passed to the second and current owner Mr. Ted Rutland who has enjoyed and cared for the vehicle over the past 14 years. We are hoping to find a good home for this one. It's a US model with A/C and power windows. Very nice black paint with a full black leather interior complimented by dark red carpets. The interior was crated and shipped to Italy where it was recovered by the world renown Luppi leather upholsterers around 10 years ago. The mouse hair dash and console are original and are showing some patina. The original center console plate, steering wheel, and horn button are but a few of the original items in great shape to be found throughout the vehicle. Mechanically the car is in good shape and is very reliable. This model is also known for being comfortable and easy to drive thanks to power steering and a smooth 5 spd transmission. In fact it is comfortable and reliable enough to have just been driven cross country from California to Georgia! The clutch and motor mounts were replaced recently. To help the four cam V12 with six two barrel side draft weber carbs breathe we replaced the center mufflers with stainless steel units by Timevalve and the rear section tail pipes are stainless units by Tubi... Needless to say the sound is incredible! As with any 40 year old vehicle there will be some imperfections and please note that this is not a show car. With that said it still retains an above average level of originality and would make a great candidate to show at FCA and local events. The car does not come off as pretentious and the attention it draws is always positive. This vehicle is for Sale "AS IS". THE SAME DAYTONA VENTILATED DISC BRAKES WERE USED. THE GEARBOX WAS MOUNTED IN THE FRONT AND THE ENGINE WAS THE 4390 CC V12 BUT WITH SIX SIDEDRAUGHT WEBER CARBURETORS AND WET SUMP LUBRICATION RESULTING IN 340 HORSEPOWER. THE DESIGN WAS ONCE AGAIN HANDLED BY PININFARINA. THE TWO-DOOR, 2+2 COUPE HAD POP-UP HEADLIGHTS AND FIVE-SPOKE ALLOY WHEELS.
