Lot 267
The Coys Auction, 18th May at The Espace Fontvielle, Monaco.
Registration Number: 15713 Chassis Number: 228
As a car for everyday use, the 365 GTC/4 was extremely practical for a Ferrari, with both power steering and air conditioning fitted as standard, not to mention independently-reclining driver and passenger seats. The striking and stylish coachwork was one of Pininfarina’s most elegant designs and has proved timeless. Only 500 examples of the 365 GTC/4 were produced, all of them coupés. Production only lasted for one year but Ferrari buyers were never the less very impressed.
This low-mileage classic Ferrari was converted to cabriolet specification at the request of its second owner by Californian specialist and Ferrari and Lamborghini restorer Claudio Zampoli. Alongside the conversion, a thorough and complete restoration of the vehicle to very high standard was carried, out with painstaking attention to detail, and due to the cabriolet specification, special attention was given to the car’s framework. This included a complete repsray and the fitting of a new leather interior. The mechanics of this fantastic V 12 Ferrari also received a similar level of attention.
As we understand from the now owner, the car was then sparingly used in the US until he bought it and imported into Europe in 2008/2009 after a thorough inspection in California, where it was serviced by classic Ferrari dealers Symbolic of La Jolla, California. Prior to the car’s shipping, a compression test was carried out by Symbolic (a copy of which is included in the car’s file) and showed an excellent engine condition. The car was then shipped to Rotterdam in late November 2008, and upon its arrival was subject to an expert report in Germany, giving it a 1-, as well as a valuation of € 145,000.
The car later passed the German TÜV in February 2009 without any faults, enabling it to be used and enjoyed for the coming spring and summer season. Unfortunately the German owner fell ill and has reluctantly decided to sell this beautiful vehicle.
Appropriately finished in Ferrari red with tan sumptuous leather interior and polished woodwork to its dashboard, this superb Ferrari 365 GTC 4 comes with a copy of the US title, the relevant customs import paperwork, German TÜV until 2011 and can be registered with these documents in the entire EU without further tax to be paid. A superb opportunity to acquire this superb Ferrari for a very reasonable price.

For Sale in Barrett Jackson on 2/17/2002 for $110,000.00
Described As:
https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1972-FERRARI-365-GTC/4-SCAGLIETTI-SPIDER-18824 Lot #677 - The 365 GTC/4 was a more civilized variant of its fiery stablemate, the Daytona. The six side-draught Weber carburetors provided more low end torque and thus added flexibility albeit at the expense of outright power. In addition, the C/4 came with ZF power steering, a feature that many Daytona owners wished they had, but were to embarrassed to ask for it! This car is one of reputedly four that were adapted by the coachbuilding arm of Ferrari SpA, Carrozzeria Scaglietti, to spider configuration. As such, it is a superb car for both touring in the grand manner or just running down to the market.
