Described As:

Offered on eBay 320266908481 in June 2008 by eBay User widownewman (John Parrott) in Knoxville, TN, bid to $59,600, reserve not met. Described as:

This is a very nice 1972 GTC/4 that I have owned for the past five years. It is an Arizona car and still has the Arizona title. It is a great color combination for this car, with a dark metallic gray exterior and lighter gray interior. It has a beautiful set of Borrani wire wheels with Pirelli tires.

I bought this car primarily as an investment, but also because I had admired them since they were new. Now, it is regretfully time for me to sell it. I have driven it very sparingly in the last five years - probably only 20 or so miles. It certainly needs to be driven more. As you can see from the pictures, it has a wood-covered console versus the aluminum one on every other GTC/4 I have ever seen. Did it come from the factory that way? I don't know. In fact, I know very little about the car's history. I have the name and address of the previous owner (I bought it from a dealer in Connecticut), and I know this address is still valid, but repeated attempts to contact the previous owner have been totally ignored. Not even a "leave me alone." Why, I don't know. Maybe you will have better luck with them.

Here are some things to know: The paint and body are really good. There are small cracks forming at the edges of the vents in the hood, the largest of which is about 1/2 inch long. The upholstery is very good. The driver's side door panel has some mysterious dark spots which I believe you can see in the picture. It has a very nicely fitted Momo steering wheel. It has a Blaupunkt cassette deck in it, but I have since bought a beautifully restored Becker Mexico cassette deck (as it was originally equippped) which goes with it. I just haven't installed it yet. I have no maintenance records at all, as the previous owners refuse to correspond with me. I have a reprint of an owner's manual, an original parts manual which apparently came with the car, and a copy of the factory service manual.

This car was built in July of 1972.

This is a great car in really nice condition. It is not a show car, but it is not far off. I am interested in taking a less expensive car in partial trade - something like a 328 GTS, or just about anything interesting - but I cannot trade up or trade even. My preference is to sell it outright. I also understand the stress of buying expensive older cars sight unseen, so I want to assure you that if, when you see the car in person, you feel I have misrepresented it, you don't have to take it.

Please email or call me with any questions you might have. I am anything but a Ferrari expert, but I am a big fan of Enzo's cars, and I will try to answer any questions as honestly as possible. My cell phone number is 865-387-0925. This is a nice car in the best possible color and will make someone a great investment.

Item #300781337517 Starting bids of $45,100 with a reserve. Bid up to $80,100 (13 bids) but reserve not met.
Only 50,273 Actual Miles, Strong Running Car, Suspension Great, Engine Done in the Last Couple Years
Alloy V12 engine, 340 HP, five-speed manual transmission, disc brakes, fully independent suspension
Though it's only a letter off from the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 “Daytona,” the GTC/4 has a personality all its own, with unique merits and deserves to be recognized as a brilliant grand tourer in its own right. While the GTC/4 will never command the same respect as a Daytona, it is an undoubtedly important car in Ferrari's history.
The GTC/4 was introduced in March at the Geneva Motor Show. Sharing mechanical similarities with the Daytona, the GTC/4 rode on a wheelbase of an extra 100mm and was sheathed in crisply pleated Pininfarina lines with just enough curvature to soften their visual impact.
Under the sheet metal is an all-alloy V12, mounted up front in the manner of a traditional Ferrari GT. It displaced 4.4L and boasted a compression ratio of 8.8:1. With two Marelli distributors, four camshafts, and six Weber carbs, the engine is able to produce a hearty 340 horsepower at 6,800 rpm. Torque is rated at 318lb-ft at 4,000 rpm. Controlling the flow of power to the rear axle is an all-synchro five-speed manual transmission. The car is suspended by an independent layout of unequal-length control arms at all corners, and four-wheel vented discs are in place. This lovely example has just 50,300 miles and is in excellent condition throughout. It has been regularly serviced, including the all-important leakdown test, and all 12 cylinders have perfect compression and the car is ready for your next road trip.
